Frequently Asked Questions

Is food provided?  Sorry no, your child needs to bring a packed lunch, water bottle and snacks. We operate a NO NUT policy, so would appreciate if you could make sure no products in pack ups contain nuts.

What should my child wear?  We recommend older clothes and shoes, as during a lot of the activities we will be using messy materials such as clay, glitter, glue & paint!

Are staff first aid trained?  At least one staff member in attendance will be QA Level 3 Paediatric First Aid Certified.

Are staff police checked?  Yes, all staff have been DBS Enhanced Checked.

What experience do staff have to look after my child? All staff have relevant qualifications and/or previous experience of working with children in childcare and/or school settings. The Manager has attended many childcare training courses, such as Behaviour Management, Fire Safety, Health & Safety for Childcarers, Child Protection, to name a few. She also has many years experience of working with children, from being a Private Day Nursery Supervisor, Childminder and owning her own design business that worked in conjunction with Staffordshire County Councils Community & Learning Partnership to facilitate printed media projects with children in High Schools in North Staffordshire.

Have you experience of caring for children with allergies?  Yes, my son had an egg allergy and needed to carry an Epipen. I'm confident that we have appropriate procedures in place to cater for the needs of a child with allergies. The comprehensive Level 3 Paediatric First Aid Training covers recognising the signs and symptoms of an allergic reaction and how to then care for that child and get appropriate help. I have also implemented a NO NUT policy.
